Marie Palmer

My paintings explore the idea of connection – connection to a memory, a favorite place, or an emotion. I love the freedom of being in nature, so landscapes and waterscapes influence much of my work. I often explore the memory of a favorite time and place in my paintings – not as it looked, but how it felt. My hope is that each piece becomes a mirror for the viewer’s own experience, and if that painting sparks something in them, it’s simply a magical feeling of connection.
